Boxes

Boxes come in various shapes and sizes.  The smaller boxes I have at the moment are here.  The square one on the right has beveled edges on the top, so the measurements are approximate.  The one in the middle has slightly longer sides than the dimensions of the box.

Circle box on left: Diameter 4 3/8 inches.  Height 2 7/8.  Magnet closure.

Square box on right:  4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches.  Height 2 3/4 inches.  Magnet closure

Square box in center: approx 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 lid.  Height 3 3/8.  Hook clasp.

There’s also this photo holder.  If no one grabs this, I’m going to do a Greek Caryatid theme with it.

Measurements of the removable lid: approx. 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 (beveled)
Borders of photos: approx 3/4 (beveled)  Photo display size: 4 photos measuring 3×3.

My husband has pointed out that placing an LED in the center enables an image to show through the walls of it.  The backing for the photos is a thing piece of wood which can also be burned or reversed.  It’s on a lazy suzan.  So the thing that’s kind of neat is that it has the following options:

  • display photos on the outside.  Burn runes on the inside for protection or growth of your loved ones.
  • display no photos at all.  burn images on wood for display.  burn alternate images on the inside that can be reversed if company is coming and you’re a Stealth Witch.
  • display a PARTIAL image on the outside, and burn the rest of the image on the inside, then insert an LED.  For instance…a branch or leaf on the outside, a fairy on the inside that will only show through when the inner light is lit.

Makes a nice little night-light for a Pagan child, if that’s your choice.
